Benalmádena is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalucía in southern Spain. The municipality is situated approximately 12 km to the west of the city of Málaga, on the southern coast between Torremolinos and Fuengirola, in the heart of the Costa del Sol.
Benalmadena Pueblo, Benalmadena Costa And Benalmadena Arroyo de la Miel
Benalmadena is divided into 3 urban areas, Benalmadena Pueblo, about 3 km inland. Benalmadena Costa can be found right on the beach area with a beautiful port, Benalmadena Marina. Here you will find the nightlive, all kind of accomodation, such as hotels and apartment comlexes.
Between Benalmadena Costa and Benalmadena Pueblo you will find Benalmadena Arroyo de la Miel. Some of the tourist attractions of Benalmadena will be found here, such as Tivoli, amusement park, Selwo Marina, teleferico, cable car which brings you to a hight of around 750 meters above sea level. From here you can have beautiful vieuws of the area and even clear days you can see the Moroccan coastline, the Sierra Nevada and Gibraltar.
Benalmadena Costa also has almost 10 kilometers of beach to chose from. All the way from Torremolinos (where the "Carihuela" area, famous for its specialty fish and seafood restaurants begins) to Fuengirola.
